In brief

In the blink of the equivalent of a light storm generated in the space of a nanowell on a chip, a single molecule of DNA will be sequenced real-time using a wet-chemistry-based fluorescence method, at a rate depending only on the intrinsic properties of the enzyme. An extremely dense array of such nano-wells, when processed in parallel, and in combination with our patent-pending approaches to proofread sequences, is expected to lead to results unparalleled now, and to enable ultra-high throughput at low cost.
