 We are a young, international and small team, currently based at
the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Hsinchu, at the
heart of the Taiwanese "Silicon Valley". Our selected and voluntary
members draw from ITRI demonstrated experience and its supporting
innovative environment. They combine electronics, opto-electronics
and optical-devices expertise, material and organic chemistry
specialists, with experience in molecular and structural biology in
bioinformatics and translational medicine, and in business
development.
Our aim is to integrate these backgrounds and expertise, to create
an ultra-high throughput, cheap and portable optoelectronics-based DNA sequencing device, pushing further the frontiers of the silicon chip technology.
We are passing through initial-development milestones and are getting ready to spin-off our technology and our people, while preparing to compete for the X Prize for Genomics. We are
very excited to open the door to the reality of personalized medicine to all. |
